Welcome to Woa! Rhino
We are sad...
On behalf of Woa! Rhino and Wild in Art, it is with great sadness that after much hard work and effort by Oliver O’Dell of About the Place Ltd, we were unable to raise the necessary funds to fully support this ambitious event. We would like to take this opportunity to thank every artist for their inspiring artwork.
We have a number of schools signed up for this project and we are committed to creating a mini-display to celebrate young people’s creativity at a later date this year.
Wild in Art
The Challenge
The Rhinos are coming to Oxfordshire next year but there is a lot of work to be done before then. Are you up for the challenge?
Are you a budding, established or professional artist who fancies the challenge of designing and decorating 40kg of rhino-shaped canvas? We will pay you for your time according to Arts Council recommendations but the real pay-back of this project is the substantial exposure that you will get locally and anywhere else in the world connected to the internet.
Are you an open-minded primary school seeking innovative ways to educate your pupils in partnership with the wider community. This project will give you curriculum links ranging from the environment to geometry and the opportunity for a significant boost to self-esteem for individuals.
Are you a potential sponsor of one of our Rhinos? You can be an individual, a business, an organisation, a group of friends or anybody else that can raise the money and add-value to our project.
Using Social Media
We are keen to make this project as Social Media-friendly as possible and are looking to you to generate content. In this way, we have created an "Avatar Button" for your convenience to add to your site. You can follow us on twitter and Facebook and you can listen to a range of participants in our podcast series under "News".
